Newsletter July 2008
Yes it’s that time of the month again at Promise… a time
to reflect on all our triumphs over the last few months.
Working for Local Legal Eagles
The
Promise team have been working closely with Godloves Solicitors on their
current PR campaign. Ian Goldman is handing over the reins as managing
partner to Paul Carvis after many years of commitment and dedication.
Ian has built up Godloves solicitors from a firm with one secretary
to a vastly growing business 40 years later. We would like to wish Paul
every success in his new position and we are pleased to report that
we have generated plentiful coverage about this ‘change
at the top’ in a variety of legal publications as well as the
Yorkshire Post.
Lovingthatgift is Lovingthatcoverage
Continuing to work for this fabulous online boutique, the Promise team
have secured coverage in national press including
high profile magazines such as Pet Owner and Dog’s Monthly regarding
the website’s
popular personalised dog treat jars and lead
hooks.
Promise win Financial Services Contract
Promise is working for AK Payroll, a financial services provider that takes the ‘headache’ out of payroll. Emily Carrie, our MD won the PR contract thorough a networking event; The Business Network… see our last newsletter.
The Promise team are delighted to be providing PR services to two extraordinary ladies: Anne Natress and Kathryn Case who have devised a software package to take the pain out of payroll which many of our clients will be able to relate to.
Music to Diner’s Ears at Croma

Promise is still working hard for Leeds based gourmet pizzeria restaurant Croma. We have secured some fabulous coverage in the Yorkshire Evening Post regarding their new sassy Sunday Jazz night.
With the soulful sounds of the Lewis Band, diners can now enjoy Jazz in stylish surroundings whilst enjoying Croma’s extensive menu and superior wine choice. The Lewis Band epitomises Croma’s personality; sleek and chic.
The Promise Team Enjoy Nesting
We have started working for Nest, a local letting agent & property management company. Specialising in residential lettings, Nest adopts a different approach by adapting their services to meet their client’s needs and most importantly they understand that Leeds doesn’t close at the weekend or at 5:30pm meaning that busy landlords and tenants can always get in touch with the Nest team.
James Douglas, the driving force behind Nest has approached us to
help enhance the business profile of Nest
to their target audience. Promise will secure
coverage in the local, national and property
press for Nest so watch this space and see how we get on. We guarantee
you’ll
be impressed.

When Leeds Met Promise
Promise welcomes our newest member to the team, Rachael McCarthy, a recent
business graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University. She will be working
under Emily and Amy on a part time basis to gain more experience of the PR
industry. Rachael will be chasing journalists (not literally) and writing
press releases, feature articles & newsletters.
Rachael says: “I am really enjoying my work experience. I chose Promise because of the vast client base allowing me to work on different projects and providing me with hands on experience in different aspects of PR. I have been involved in some amazing projects and worked for some prestigious clients so far.”
Message from Lucas
Possibly the most important member of the
Promise PR & Design team is Lucas.
This month’s tip is:
“Don’t forget about PR!"
Business owners get caught up in the day to day running of their company. They should take a day out of each month to work on their PR and Marketing. By taking this time to work on their business not in their business they will succeed… where others have failed!”
From all the team at Promise PR & Design Ltd
